USC Trojans History

Los Angeles USC TrojansThe USC Trojans, are seeking their 3rd consecutive National Championship and riding a 22-game winning streak will begin play on September 3 vs. Hawaii in Honolulu, given all the returning stars Coach Pete Carroll has at his fingertips on offense which include Heisman Trophy winner QB Matt Leinart, RB Reggie Bush a Heisman canidate himself, and every Lineman and Receiver who started, it appears that their will be no stopping USC from setting the scoreboard on fire and the scary part about the offense is the return of All-American OT Winston Justice who will be the Trojans best lineman and the resurfacing of 6-5 WR Whitney Lewis who is a Mike Williams clone.

The only question mark will be a defense that has to be revamped due to losses along the front seven, but veterans DE Frostee Rucker, OLB Dallas Sartz, S Darnell Bing, and LB Keith Rivers each an intimidating hitter will lead the way until super talented newcomers LB Brian Cushing, LB Rey Maualuga, and a host of other top flight recruits get comfortable which will probably take 3-4 games, then look out.......The USC Trojans schedule is very challenging, but favorable with six home dates which are Arkansas(sept.17), Arizona(OCT.8), Washington State(nov.29), Stanford(nov.5), Fresno State(nov.19), and the annual showdown with rival UCLA Bruins on Dec.3....The road schedule is highlighted with trips to Oregon(sept.24), highly touted and nationally ranked Arizona State Wild Cats(oct.1), and the renewal of the greatest intersectional rivalry in college football, a trip to South Bend,Indiana to face Notre Dame on  Oct.15.

Although the USC Trojans did lose some key performers from last years 13-0 squad that annihilated second-ranked Oklahoma 55-19 in the Orange Bowl(BCS Title Game), its recruiting effort was stellar with the Trojans garnering the unaminously voted number 1 ranked recruiting class which included WR Patrick Turner(#2 ranked player overall),the aforementioned LB Rey Maualuga(#5 nationally), QB Mark Sanchez(#7), and top 30 defensive stalwarts LB Luther Brown and DE Kyle Moore to name a few of the blue-chip prospects that will wear the Cardinal and Gold.....Last seasons defining moments took place in 3 separate games, which are game 1 vs. Virginia Tech, game 5 vs. #6 California, and game 13 vs #2 Oklahoma, in the season opener against Va.Tech the Trojans unexpectedly w/out All-American WR Mike Williams(ruled ineligible by NCAA) and having to break new starters and reserves at the wideout positions the USC Trojans were struggling and in danger of having their preseason No.1 ranking taken away trailed by 3 points in the third quarter when Matt Leinart turned to a reliable and speedy source in Reggie Bush, those two superstars hooked up 3 times on long pass plays to lead the Trojans out of trouble and to a hard fought 24-13 win, in the Cal encounter the Trojans were less than 10 yards away from again relinquishing the top spot and also the Pacific Ten Conference Championship but dug deep and held the Golden Bears out of the end zone on 4 consecutive plays to preserve a 23-17 win, the Orange Bowl was for the National Title and many felt the Oklahoma Sonners were too strong and talented for USC, but after the Oklahoma Sooners took a brief 7-0 lead the USC Trojans proceeded to score 55 unanswered points and leave no doubt to who was the best team in all the land, this season promises more of the same, dont miss out on the USC Trojans marched towards history. We carry USC Trojans Football Tickets for all games. All USC Tickets are 200% guaranteed. You can buy USC Football Tickets 24 hours a day online. You can purchase USC vs UCLA Tickets 24 hours a day.
